[EN] Healing Orchestra, an ensemble bringing together numerous jazz and avant-garde musicians, breathes life into powerful and generous music deeply rooted in the rich tradition of free jazz and the Great Black Music. Following in the footsteps of Charles Mingus's workshop, William Parker's Little Huey Orchestra, and the Akosh S Unit, the orchestra achieves a symbiosis between intricate composition and free improvisation, bridging the gap between free jazz and traditional music. Healing Orchestra embraces a philosophy and the following ideas: Total freedom in the use of playing techniques, composition, and improvisation in service of the music. A living and organic collective sound, shaped by the initiatives and personalities of each individual. Lastly, a vision of music, art, and culture that transcends the debates between avant-garde and traditionalism, primarily driven by a social, emancipatory, and inherently revolutionary ambition. Improvised music, jazz, traditional and contemporary music, trance and orchestral music, music of anger and struggle, mystery and dreams—Healing Orchestra aims to celebrate and continue the history of creative and popular music, paying tribute to our struggles and our lives.
