[EN] A VIBRANT HOMAGE TO JOHN COLTRANE BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN JAZZ AND HIP-HOP
Respecting the sacred link between jazz and hip-hop, Movézom explores the path laid by John Coltrane, infusing it with an urban and contemporary dimension. The voices and lyrics of the MCs resonate here alongside saxophones, strings, drums, and machines, embracing the major themes that marked the saxophonist's work. The compositions, ranging from hip-hop beats to free jazz and contemporary music, provide numerous opportunities to discover or rediscover Coltrane's most iconic pieces, especially those from the last period of his life. Revisiting The Trane is a vibrant tribute to one of the greatest musicians of the last century. It is also a record that questions today's jazz through its connection with rap and seeks to give meaning to the cultural heritage of a music that is resolutely future-oriented.
