[EN] Eric BARRET, the accomplished saxophonist, also wears the hats of orchestra conductor and composer. A self-taught musician, he stands as an internationally renowned jazz artist who has shared the stage with luminaries such as R. Haynes, F. Hubbard, J. Griffin, M. Waldron, J. Lee, S. Grossman, L. Bennett, E. Pieranunzi, D. Humair, K. Wheeler, A. Jean-Marie, S. Swallow, P. Michelot, and more.
His musical journey took flight in 1978 when he graced the stages of Parisian clubs alongside Chet Baker and other stalwarts of French Jazz, including M. Graillier, E. Le Lann, P. Caratini, A. Ceccarelli, A. Hervé, and others.
Eric BARRET has also given life to numerous projects, including the Barret/Romano/Texier trio, the quartet featuring M. Ducret, H. Labarrière, and P. Gritz, the New Shapes quartet, a duo with S. Goubert titled Linkage, the Close Meeting trio with S. Lazarevitch and J. Allouche, the septet My Favorite Songs with A. Besson, P-O Govin, E. Löhrer, B. Moussay, E. Surmenian, and Joe Quitzke, as well as a duo with J. Pellen.
