[EN] This album lives up to its name because it's off the beaten path. It's an attempt, tried many times, to blend flamenco and jazz. Paco el Lobo sticks to his flamenco style both on the guitar and in his singing; he's excellent. The jazz parts led by Laurent Geniez, a skilled saxophonist, aren't enough to bring the album into our musical territory. There's no fusion. That being said, this album is more than enjoyable, especially if, like me, you're a fan of flamenco. Otherwise, it's best to steer clear.

[FR] Ce disque porte bien son nom car il est hors piste. Tentative moult fois essayée de mêler flamenco et jazz. Paco el Lobo reste dans son jeu flamenco aussi bien à la guitare qu’au chant ; il est excellent. Les parties jazz menées par Laurent Geniez, parfait saxophoniste, ne suffisent pas à ramener le disque à notre musique. Il n’y pas osmose. Ceci dit ce disque est plus que plaisant, quand, comme moi, on aime le flamenco. Sinon s’abstenir.
