[EN] "We just wanted the sound, the raw sound-texture, before being treated and shaped by any cultural code…” remembers Georges Alloro member of Horde Catalytique Pour La Fin.
Formed in 1967, the French avant garde quartet played instruments coming from western, african, middle-easten & far-eastern cultures.
Gestation Sonore, their 1971 unique album, is the intriguing result of an improvisational session which unsurprisingly later found its way onto the famous Nurse With Wound list of influences.

[FR] "Nous cherchions simplement le son brut, la texture sonore authentique, avant qu'elle ne soit altérée ou influencée par un quelconque code culturel…" se remémore Georges Alloro, membre de la Horde Catalytique Pour La Fin. Créé en 1967, ce quatuor français d'avant-garde utilisait des instruments issus des cultures occidentales, africaines, moyen-orientales et d'Extrême-Orient. Leur album de 1971, intitulé "Gestation Sonore", représente le résultat intrigant d'une session d'improvisation qui, sans grande surprise, a ultérieurement figuré sur la célèbre liste d'influences de Nurse With Wound.
